Welcome to John Jones & Son

Established 1885, John Jones & Son is the oldest Monumental Company in the North West. Employing traditional methods to make unique headstones, but embracing the new techniques and evolving methods of today.

John Jones & Son is an independent 'owner/managed' company, a family run business. David Gellion, proprietor, is a master mason with 30 years personal experience in the monumental trade. He has worked closely with the War Commission, renovating war memorials, and recently won a prestige contract to supply and erect a War Memorial within the grounds of St Georges Hall within the Liverpool city centre. One of our 'Claims to Fame' was to be commissioned to create the memorial to be erected on the finishing post at Aintree Race Course for the famous racehorse Red Rum.

We will deal with your needs efficiently, but in a caring and attentive way. We sell directly to you, choosing not to deal via funeral directors etc., so ensuring competitive pricing, and personal service of the highest calibre.

We have the skills and experience needed to create any stone memorial, using traditional marble and granites in a variety of colours. Through our world-wide suppliers, we are able to offer delicately carved granites, something only recently technically achievable. Some of the popular carved granites include teddy bears and rabbits, dolphins and traditional angels. We would be pleased to advise regarding your personal choices and options.

John Jones & Son offers a wide range of products, the largest display of marble and granite memorials in the North West is waiting at our premises for you to chose. Although we would be happy to forward brochures on request, nothing can compare to viewing the wide and varied shapes, sizes, and colours 'in the flesh', so to speak. You will only then be able to appreciate the beauty of the natural stone, and the craftsmanship, which goes into making your chosen memorial. We specialise in unique and individually styled memorials.

All work is fully guaranteed.
